Now that we have list of stock from scanner, we need to filter them manually to find the best ones to trade.
This Criteria need to check manually by looking at the charts and can't be automated.
Current market conditions must be taken into account when applying these criteria
Positive Criteria (Must have)
Stock must be in Stage 2 Uptrend
Free Float Value >= 300 Cr
By setting a minimum free float value of 300 Cr, we can ensure that we are trading stocks that have sufficient liquidity and are less likely to be manipulated by large investors.
Stock must be within 15-20% of All Time High
less overhead supply and more likely to have strong momentum
Stock Should belong to trending sector
Prioritize stocks that belong to sectors that are currently trending in the market.
Trending sectors are more likely to experience strong price movements and can provide better trading opportunities.
Average looking stock from trending sector is better than stock with good technicals from downtrending sector
Volume contraction with good volume on breakout day
Volume contraction indicates that the stock is consolidating and building up energy for a potential breakout.
A breakout with good volume confirms that there is strong buying interest and increases the likelihood of a sustained uptrend.
Low Risk Stoploss
A low stoploss allows us to limit our potential losses if the trade doesn't go as planned.
Preferably within 8% of the entry price
EMA 10 > EMA 21 > EMA 50
This moving average configuration indicates a strong uptrend and can help us identify stocks that are likely to continue moving higher.
Optional Positive Criteria (Nice to have)
Breakout Chart pattern
A breakout chart pattern, such as a cup and handle, ascending triangle, or flag pattern, can provide additional confirmation of a potential uptrend.
More easy to identify and trade compared to stocks without a clear chart pattern
Stock with good story or theme
A stock with a good story or theme can attract more investors and create positive sentiment around the stock, which can contribute to its price appreciation.
Prefer stock with atleast 1 base count
Stock with 1 breakout from a base make sure that you don't have to wait for a long time for next uptrend to start
Good Relative Strength
A stock with good relative strength is outperforming the overall market and can be a strong candidate for trading.
Compare stock with MIDSmall400 index to calculate relative strength
Relative strength chart must be in short term uptrend
Not required but if relative strength is breaking out of downtrend then it's very positive sign
ADR Should be in range of 3-5% or more
A stock with an ADR of 3-5% or more indicates that it has sufficient volatility to provide good trading opportunities.

Negative Criteria (Avoid at all costs)
Avoid stock with 2-5% circuit limit
Stocks with a 5% circuit limit can be highly volatile and risky also very low chance of significant price movement in a single day which can limit our ability to capitalize on short-term opportunities
Additioinnally, stocks with a 5% circuit limit may be more susceptible to manipulation and we don't want to get caught in a situation where we can't sell our shares due to a circuit limit being hit
Avoid stocks with low liquidity

FNO stocks can be more volatile and risky due to the presence of derivatives trading, which can amplify price movements and increase the potential for losses.

Avoid stock which is close to earning date (3-5 day)

Stock with a high base count can be more volatile
Low chances of large move
Bad Financials
Stock with Bad EPS or bad revenue growth
Additional Tips from personal Experience
You don't have to keep buying new stocks for each setup, normally after correction stock that broke out, it keep making smaller base and keep moving up. So keep eye on missed breakout too. You will get multiple swing trading opportunity in uptrending stocks.
Trading same stock is simpler than buying new stocks every week because you'll be mroe aware about that perticular stock, it's earnings, price action.
Set right expectations. Understand different between large base ath breakout and pivot point breakout. with large base breakout you can expect 20-30% move before consolidation and for pivot breakout(flag, pennant) expect only 15-20% upmove.
